last weekend was my holiday party for work. it was pretty awesome and fancy. it also was my first corporate party. last year we just went to dinner with the people in the office and their spouses, a little bit awkward because i had to beg ted to go with me so that i wasn't the 8th wheel and THEN everyone started talking about how they met and their kids. well thats nice. ANYWAYS, my company has about 180 employees and they flew everyone out to boston where are headquarters and put us up in a hotel room. they even flew out spouses/sig others. it was pretty intense. a couple of us had the same flight and went to lunch right when we got in...followed by a couple too many beers. of course i was a little bit messy and had to go back to the hotel to shower and get ready. not easy when you can't see. we finally get to the banquet hall and it is beautiful. lights everywhere, beautiful tables of appetizers and desserts as well as a couple of open/top shelf bars. hmm so we have some drinks and food and try to mingle. its a pretty young crowd so of course we are all judging eachother and WOW some girls have no idea of what is appropriate. no boobs and no ass! cmon, pull yourselves together. nobody wants to see you do the walk of shame the next morning. they had some pretty sick awards given out and some ridiculous raffle prizes. all in all, it was probably a $300k party. whaaaat. ugh, i wish i had a date that could have experienced this with me, aka gotten just as drunk as me so i would have had someone to make sure that i got to my hotel room ok! hahaha kidding. i was completely fine.
spent the weekend in boston with alanna and that was a blast too. finally saw anuj after a 2 year break. ugh. i miss that kid! will post pictures soon.
