I am obsessed...

you HAVE to listen to rihanna's new album. first of all, look at her picture on the front of it. she is absoutely GORGEOUS. ugh i want to look like her. i have been obsessed with it for the last 4 days. i think she opened at the AMA awards but i missed the first bit of it so i didn't see her and i'm heartbroken. i havent gotten through the rest of the songs because i'm stuck on those for the moment i think S&M and skin have a good chance of being favorites too. i'll check back in 3 days when i've listened to the album on repeat all day long while i'm lying out!  she is just the coolest person, i'm dying my hair red right now.

i packed 1 carry on, all i need is a couple of dresses and suits. not like i am going to impress anyone. and not really necessary to bring a change of clothes for every occasion bc the occasions will be beaching it or pooling it.



schedule:
11/23: get to boat at midnight, unpack, pjs, bed
11/24: wake up at 9, put suit on, lay on front of boat and read/listen to music and watch the dolphins, 1pm dock and walk to the beach, go back to the boat at 6pm, shower up, put sweats on, eat dinner, sleep
11/25-11/29: wake up at 9, go for a run on the beach path, rotate between beach and pool until 6 pm, shower up, sweats, dinner, sleep
 

Holiday Season = My Favorite

1.  Christmas Music: go out and buy A Very Special Christmas, its my all time favorite holiday music, ever.  we used to listen to that entire cd on repeat when we lived in our old-old house and have a fire going while decorating the tree.  i think that is my favorite memory of our family from when we were little.  oh to be 8 years old again.  my favorite song is "do you hear what i hear" by whitney houston.  all i can think about is dancing around the christmas tree!  alex and i also have a sick obsession with mariah carey's 1st christmas album.  i think my dad has told us numerous time that if he heard that cd one more time he'd kill us.  well we are still alive and you better believe that we'll have it blasting in a month.  yes.
2.  Christmas gifts:  i looove giving christmas presents. i pride myself in giving gifts that are super thoughtful and gifts that you mentioned 2 months ago that you wanted and i'm the only one weird enough to remember.  however this year i might be an awful gift giver because i have no been paying attention but i promise that next year i'll be on my game.  i also can't wait to drop the presents off at the boys n girls club.  we always have 1 or 2 families that we buy for and its so fun to pick out little kid clothes and toys.  we don't have any little ones in our family so its so fun to be in the lil girl section and pick out barbies!  and duh i love getting presents.  i want: a kindle, a wicker clothes hamper (black) and new running kicks (but i want them from a running store after they figure out what i need to make my toes stop hurting when i run so i might have to pick these out), and about 10k in cash.  that will suffice.
3.  Christmas festivities:  i work across the street from the Daly Plaza and they already have the tree up and the Christ Kindl festival starts next week.  I'm hundo German so of course this fest is for meeee. check it out: http://www.christkindlmarket.com/en/ and theres a bunch of traditional german foods, beer, trinkets.  ohhh fun.  i also really love the lights thats the lincoln park zoo puts on.  sher and i went last year and it was ridiculously cold but the lights were AMAZING.  they are not screwing around at the zoo, i would not like to see that electricity bill!  its so festive. love it.
4.  Winter wear:  i love coats and boots and hats and scarves and mittens.  end of story.  and snow pants. 

So I broke my arm on November 25th, 1997

that was pretty much my arm.  most people just crack one bone, i broke through both of them.  playing football in my backyard when i was a little shit. then set it myself and ran inside and told my nanny to take me to the hospital and then i passed out.  it was the Tuesday before Thanksgiving and they took me to the er and they said that the doctor was already out and that i would have to wait until Monday to get a cast...then they would have to re-break my arm, set it and then cast it.  my mom said no way is her 5th grader sitting there with a broken arm for almost a week, they drove me to green bay and had a cast put on.  because i snapped it back into place myself, i broke a part off of my growth plate and my right hand/wrist stopped growing.  my fingers are a little bit skinnier and that's about it.  so weird.  i have tendinitis and my wrist kills by Friday...every single week.  so right now, at 4pm on a Friday all I want to do is go home and ice my stupid wrist.  i had a blue cast.

There's a fine line between cuddling and holding someone down so they can't get away.

Oscar...my puppy

so 2 weeks ago Alanna decided that she was going to buy a puppy.  Becca and i went with her to go look at lil guys at this place on Clark, Pocket Puppies, they specialize in toy, tea cup and mini puppies!  cuteeee.  So i rolled off the couch and went with, dumbest decision of my life.  i ended up falling in love with the cutest puppy known to man.  the second we walked in - i saw him, a lil 4 week old wiener dog.  he's black and brown and very symmetric on his spots. 

We got him out of his cage and got to play with him for such a long time.  mind you, i am the person who does not like animals (dogs, birds, cats, hamsters...everything) and held a dog for the first time in my life.  he was so little that he fit in one hand!  oh when those little eyes looked up at you.  soooooooo cute.  he fell asleep in my lap and i'm pretty sure i feel in love right then and there.  he's my lil ween.  get it, wiener dog = wiener = ween.  we decided to call him oscar because you can't go around calling a dog a wiener. we had to put him back because alanna picked her puppy and i don't think i've ever been so sad. 

the second we got outta there, becca looks at me and questions if we can get a puppy or not.  i said i actually really wanted to bring him home and so did she!  we got home and looked at the lease and decided not to get too excited until we knew that we could get him.  so for the next 2 nights i was so excited that we might have a little ween running around our apartment.  turns out we couldn't get him, i dropped a few tears and haven't stopped thinking about him...when will the sadness go away? 

She's not perfect. You aren't either. If she can make you laugh, hold onto her. Give her the most you can. She will give you a part of her that she knows you can break-her heart. So don't hurt her, don't change her, and don't expect more than she can give. Smile when she makes you happy and miss her when she's not there....
