softball

i have played softball for the 2nd time in my life, last night.  it was supposed to be a fun game but then i realized that softball/baseball is the dummest sport - next to golf.  there is nothing about softball that would make me actually like it, other than the beer drinking but i don't really need an excuse like softball to drink a beer. 

i don't understand just standing there and hoping the ball comes to you, at least in basketball theres always something to do when your weak side, have the ball or on defense.  also, i don't like balls that can hurt you.  sure i've taken a kill here and there off the body but good god do softballs hurt more.  we were playing around last night and i took one right in the leg, left a cool bruise (NOT) and left everyone laughing at me. 

also, i decided that i don't like 1-on-1 incidents during sports.  i like full 5-on-5 and so on, interaction.  when its just the pitcher and batter, its way too much attention on 2 people.  i missed the ball like 4 times and felt so stupid.  i hate my life.
